Tomorrow is the final day!

There is light on the horizon, as tomorrow is my last day living below the line. As this is going to drag so much, my plan is to stay as busy as possible to keep my mind off food. Every minute of every day I keep debating what my first proper meal will be, a part of me wants to keep it small (try and lose a few more pounds), then the other (and louder) half wants to start the day with a full english breakfast, a caramelised red onion and goats cheese pannini for lunch, followed by a classic chesters for tea.

But maybe that's just being greedy.

All in all, I'm very happy not only for achieving this, but raising money for Oxfam and kick starting Oxjam.

Lost my love of food

I'm slowly but surely losing the will to live. I apologize for this blog turning into my moaning page, but I blame the lack of good food. For those who do know me, know I love food a lot, if something looks good I'll eat it whether I'm hungry or not. Now I find it a chore to make food and eat it, I find myself putting off eating because I just don't want to eat boring beige food everyday!

Not only is my hunger changing, but many other things, here's a list :) ;

  • Headaches
  • Constantly tired
  • Achy body
  • Mood swings (mostly bad) and irritability
  • Lack of motivation
  • Bad skin
  • Loss of weight (this one is my favorite)
  • And a huge amount of hatred for anyone eating nice food
But looking on the brighter side of things, Wednesday is my last day; deciding what food I'm going to indulge in on Thursday takes most of my time.
AND we can't forget what this is all for! Helping to stop poverty in the world, I've lived below the line for 6 days now and I can't stand it!

Living the life of luxery

Over half way there and the second shop complete. After not eating as much food as I'd planned, this gave me the option of having slightly better food, this time round. Bread and spaghetti where the obvious thing to buy (stodgy cheapness). I then bought some jam for 29p to add to my porridge in the morning; hopefully it will become less boring.
Rice, curry sauce and chicken goujons were my little luxury  something to add a little flavour to my meals. And finally I bought a tin of peach slices for a sweet treat.

The best part of this shop, I have 53p left over to buy an energy drink!

Time goes by so slowly

Firstly, I apologize for the lack of posts recently, I've been a busy bee with work.

I have been keeping on this track, and down to my busy schedule I even have food left over; which means I may be able to splash out on some orange juice on the next shop.

So I'm nearly half way through this, and I no longer feel hungry during the day (which makes this much easier). Unfortunately, my headache is still stirring and I'm constantly tired, which affects my thought process and the days seem to get longer and longer. This all may be because of the wonderful weather and my constant working. But I feel the lack of vitamins and caffeine just magnifies everything.

The world is looking slightly brighter

The battles of a horrible headache have finally ended, ibuprofen is now my new best friend!

I decided to be a bit more creative with my food today, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of my noodle sandwich; but it was a change from plain noodles (although without butter or mayo it lacked flavor and moisture).

However, for tea I dipped into my frozen sausages and had them with beans and toast... very satisfying. Although I do miss having freshly ground pepper on everything (slight addiction?).

In a nutshell, my mood has become increasingly better, not being a moody little ass to everyone! And surprisingly I'm not really that hungry anymore! But am dying for a fruity cider to drink in this sun :(
